IMPACT Forum 2026

IMPACT Forum 2026

wtw

“Where are we really?”

A reality check on aviation’s decarbonization levers – and is energy security changing the equation?

Aviation’s path to Net Zero is not a linear decarbonisation exercise – it is a structural system transformation. Multiple, interdependent levers – from aircraft technology and SAF to carbon removal, contrails, operations, policy and capital – are evolving unevenly, often without coordination. The result: growing complexity, misaligned incentives, and increasing exposure to transition risk.

The key question is no longer ambition, but execution. Where does real progress stand – and what does it mean for our business models, risk profiles, and long-term access to capital?

Hosted by impact on sustainable aviation e.V. and run in partnership with WTW, the IMPACT Forum convenes an invitation-only group of leading scientists, policymakers, investors, airlines, OEMs, fuel and CDR producers, and other senior decision-makers across the aviation value chain.

Building aviation’s resilience. TOGETHER.

Building on the inaugural 2024 edition, the 2026 IMPACT Forum sharpens its focus: cutting through narrative to assess real progress, identify gaps, and challenge assumptions – now set against a backdrop where energy security and geopolitics are no longer side issues, but central to the transition.

What makes the Forum different?

  • Designed for accountability – guiding future action through facts over narrative, now including energy security as a co-driver of change.
  • Not a trade fair – but a neutral, science-based platform for open, solution-focused dialogue.
  • Focused on real progress – benchmarking what is actually happening, not just being promised, and defining next steps.
  • Eschewing fly-by panels for curated deep dives – taking the time for meaningful, solution-oriented dialogue that drives tangible outcomes.
  • A mission-driven platform for the transition architects of aviation.
